The flowers are wonderful. When they fade, small round, green fruits stand on a swollen, bright red receptacle... the shape of it looks like Mickey Mouse. Very small plant living on sand and debris, next to a house... this area will probably disapear within short time... blooming in mid winter, Rio de Janeiro

A fruit. The red part is the floral receptacle, and the fruit per se is the green thing on the top. It usually has more than one fruticle per fruit, but I think this will go. Rio de Janeiro, mid summer.
