The fuzzy strands on the seeds are dense and tangled. Looks like foam.

Stems are swollen where they branch. Branches are often directly opposite. A leaf grows beneath each branch. Stems have grooves/ridges.

The leaves feel rougher on the top than on the bottom. Leaf edges are ragged.
