Note that leaves vary in the degree of mottling. This is unlike a margined plant where most leaves are similar. The leaves are the thickness of 4 sheets of printer paper held between your fingers.

The plant fully mature is the size of H. 'Sunpower'. The mottling is most intense in full sun with no burning of leaves. Flowers middle of June to middle of July in Ohio.
