Undaunted by Texas heat, drought, and neglect, these April bloomers seem happy to multiply in the black clay soil of the Dallas area, though the hue is more purple than the blue pictured on the package in 1999.

Got this in an iris mix from Home Depot. Intense blue-purple; Lamium maculatum "Aureum" sets it off nicely.
