This copper leaf reaches the top of the gazebo. Grown in a partial shade area, the foliage has deep green/purple/mauve/pink coloration. Not receiving any direct sunlight, it stays a greenish to purplish color. At the bottom center, one of the leaves has an almost perfect pink Texas shape.

The leaf has received more direct sunlight; therefore, it is turning a copperish tone. Also shown are 2 fresh blooms and several blooms that are drying. (San Antonio, Tx.)

Copper leaf growing at Balboa park in San Diego. This hedge is a good 5 feet high. It becomes very colorful in the summer.

The variegated colors and shapes of these leaves make you wonder how they can all grow on the same plant! Takes heat and sun well.
