Tillandsia ionantha - Went thru Hurricane Katrina, and then was neglected (no misting) for quite some time. Sits in a kitchen window, and suprised us with these blooms.

Airplants are the common name for Tillandsias (sometimes called "Air Plants"). Not all Bromeliads are Airplants. Air plants grow without soil while most types of Bromeliads do best in soil.
