Chabaudii is a variable plant. The transvaal form has a lighter airier look to its flower than other forms of chabaudii.

Plant began budding in mid-November and progressed rapidly as warmer than seasonal temperatures spurred growth.

Same plant as first pictured, one year later in different location. This one near end of November, after many bright warm days early in flowering cycle. bob:>)
