This is one of a handful of initial blooms on a 1st year plant (6 mo. earlier it was a bare root snippet). I suspect that subsequent blooms will be better but as we needed a pic...

This is a young plant, 2nd year, grown from small, bare root cutting; blooms may be more full as plant matures

Clematis Franziska Maria has a beautiful double bloom, this is the first bloom since planting in 2009

Franziska Maria/Marie in NE Ohio zone 5b. Pretty blooms, but slow grower. Not as double as I thought, nor as large at only about 4 inches across.
