The Chinese Ground Orchid (Bletilla striata) has pleated leaves which add texture contrast to the garden landscape. They are great border plants.

Beautiful magenta Bletillia Striata has doubled in size and gotten healthier perhaps due to 2007 E. Tx. monsoons. Grows in full sun, blooms mid-March through mid-April.
