A potted cutting of a manzinita I got from Mt. Palomar. Unsure of the type. I hope it lives.

The manzanita produces a hanging cluster of 1/4 inch long, urn-shaped flowers which occur in at the ends of the twigs. Resembling a tiny apple, the fruit is a berry-like drupe also 1/4 inch long that matures in the late sunmmer and fall. A hard to find plant.

Manzanita bark exfoliates from the trunk and large limbs revealing a very attractive smooth, almost glossy, reddish brown bark as shown here. This beautiful reddish brown color shown under the peeling off bark is one of the most attractive features of the plant. A rare plant.

Just recently having moved to Prescott, AZ I discovered this plant on our land and asked about it. I love this stuff! It is beginning to blossom and I wish there were more of it. I've attached a picture.
