Delicious salted or with prosciutto. First ate it in Italy. Now grow it in my garden. The flesh has less water content and is similar in texture to watermelon rind and is white. Delicious. This is a regular in my garden and produces prolifically. I grow it around the base of my dwarf orange trees in the large flower pots and the vines trail over the side loaded with fruit. This can also be used as a sweet hot house cucumber in salads, doesn't get soft as fast as cucumbers. These are also a nice size to cut in half and use as bowls for fruit salad. These peel like a cucumber too! My kids even like the skins...reminds them of thin apple skins. Is wonderfully refreshing when juiced, especially with midori. LIKES FULL SUN AND DO NOT LET THE VINES WILT FROM DRYNESS.
