So far this plant has done pretty well for me in inland southern California zone 9b... hasn't even lost any leaves yet in 2 years. Slow though. My guess is will never become the massive tree in the photo on this page in my climate... but is hardier than I was suspecting (so far). Hasn't seen any temps deep into the 20s yet, but survived easily temps of just below freezing. For a columnar succulent Euphorbia is rather thirsty species... the more water I give it the faster it grows.
