C. arachnoidea is of fast growth and blooms the first year from seeds. Its main requirements are lots of light, well drained but slightly moist soil, full sun and regular water – do not over water.
Sowing recommendations: during autumn, in a mix of two portions compost, one portion regular garden soil, one portion vermiculite and one portion sharp river sand. Cover this mixture with a fine layer of sand, distribute the seeds and gently press them against this growing media. Transplant into pots when the seedlings have 2 true leaves.
C. arachnoidea is a beautiful addition to a rock garden, as ground cover, container plant etc.
