Fruits are shaped similar to an anaheim chili. Measured any where from 1.5 inches across to 5 inches across top section of tomato. Prone to crack if watering is not consistent - and they need plenty of water. They also sunscald easily so make sure to allow light shade for the fruit from adjacent leaves making sure that good light still gets to them for reddening. Great for paste and salsa as they are meaty with little seed. Could also be great for drying by slicing across tomato. Heirloom and indeterminate. Seeds easy to ferment, dry and keep well.
This tomato is another find by legendary tomato enthusiast Ben Quisenberry. It was sent to him by a friend who lived in PA.
