It is a variety of C. tuberosus. It has pale pink to pink flowers. One specimen of this plant was collected from Palm Beach County, north of Broward County, miles from it's main range further south from parts of Broward County southward into Dade County and westward into Monroe and Collier counties. It flowers mainly in late December through June. It is common in Everglades National Park and the Big Cypress Preserve and in other areas of the southern Florida Everglades.
