It has golden yellow anthers and white filaments. The new foliage is purple. It prefers semi-shade, but can handle morning sun if its root run is shaded and cool. It is suitable for containers, borders, and as a specimen. It's a climber, and would be nice growing up a small tree or through a shrub, as well as up a trellis, lamppost or other garden support. It blooms from late May to July, and then again from late Aug to Sept. It likes moist, well drained alkaline soil.
