I had problems with the fruit cracking before ripening every year. This lead to many fruit succumbing to brown rot despite regular spraying. The few fruit I was able to pick each year had a decent taste, but nothing special. Not recommended by myself.

The flesh is yellow with some red in the pit cavity. Fruits are slightly dry but melting texture and very good flavor. Freestone. Flowers have large, showy pink petals and are self-fertile.
Bees and other wild insects are the main agents involved in transferring pollen among trees. Take care when trees are in bloom to spray only those chemicals that will not harm bees and other beneficial insects. Many insecticides are toxic to bees and should be avoided during bloom time.
