This year, it is again filled with lots of fruit after 3 nights of frost. I'm busy thinning again, and looking forward to a good crop. I had to prop the branches last year, and will need to do the same this year. The fruit quality was great, and they held up well in the canning process. There are few peaches that do this well in Wisconsin. I would recommend it for anyone in Zone 5 for sure.
Ditto this year! As you can see in photo above. I canned 55 quarts of peaches and ate many fresh. Still had many to give to friends. We had 4 days with temps under 32 degrees while in bloom, and still produced. Love this tree!

This is a very attractive yellow flesh variety with medium to large size fruits. 75% to 90% of the surface is colored red. The flesh is ...Read Morelight yellow and aromatic, and flavor is very good. This variety produces many flower buds, crops well most years and is moderately resistant to bacterial spot. Requires good drainage.

Fruit ripens Aug. 8 to Aug. 15.
Depending on the year, harvest dates of any given variety can vary. Very warm weather usually shortens the season and may cause varieties to ripen at the same time. Early bloom, combined with cool summer temperatures, may spread harvest dates over a longer period of time.

This cultivar is a hybrid of 'Summercrest' x 'Redhaven', released in 1987 by the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station.
