Nectarine 'Fantasia'

This tree produces a large, yellow-fleshed fruit that is firm and bright red with yellow skin. Freestone. Ripens Mid July. As it ripen...Read Mores, the fruit is at first tangy, then more sweet later in the harvest season.

This tree is self fruitful and very vigorous. It requires pruning and thinning for consistent, quality crops. Moderate fertility and good drainage is a must. The tree is somewhat susceptible to bacterial spot.

A nectarine tree sometimes will set more fruit than it is capable of successfully carrying to maturity. Branches may break and the fruits typically have poor color and taste. In order to rectify this situation, excess fruits must be removed or thinned. Hand-thin the tree about 4 weeks after full bloom.
