I've trialled a pepper th...Read Moreat was supposed to be the world's earliest and being tested for growing in space, but Klari Cheese was earlier. That is, for 'green' peppers. Red mature ones are later, and take quite a while to develop, so it sort of depends on what you are measuring. Anyway, this is one of the most productive and earliest peppers of all. It's sweet and versatile - I use it for any green or red pepper recipe. A favorite. I keep it picked if the 'green' (but really light yellow) peppers until September to maximize production, then I let the rest ripen to red for really sweet red peppers. These are traditionally used for making pickled peppers especially stuffed with cabbage. Difficult to find seeds for it though! I've saving them again.
