The tree is a moderately fast grower and often produces more fruit than the branches can bear. To recify this, it's best to "lighten the load" some and remove some of the flowers and/or fruits. This will result in larger plums at harvest-time and fewer broken tree branches.

This tree is not as disease resistant as some other varieties are.
