Blooms start as fuscia pink, then turn red and and finally a dark magenta. Very easy to propagate, just put cuttings of stems into the ground and wait; I got mine from a neighbor's cuttings. Suseptable to frost; insects love it too and can eat holes in the leaves but mild pesticides work well. Wind is my biggest challenge, stems are soft and woody and at high wind speeds they can break. However, no matter what happens to this plant, it always comes back bigger and better. If you live in South Florida and need a fast growing and carefree shrub, this one is sure to please!
