This plant does grow in my yard in shady places. It appears to be natural and not planted. When I moved in about 6 years ago, I noticed t...Read Morehe large leaf clumps the first spring and decided to grow them out to see what they where, as I had no idea as to what was on the property. The leaves were attractive and I thought there must be some flower that came with them. Then I noticed the little bundles of purple flowers next to the ground. It was disappointing. I thought it would be something more spectacular, or at least something you could SEE! Anyway, a freind who knew more about wild plants than me said they looked like some kind of water-leaf, but he didn't know what kind. Well, now I do!
