This is a hybrid between the fragrant winter honeysuckle L. fragrantissima and the very similar L. standishii. It's been said to be more floriferous than either. I observe that the internodes are shorter than with L. standishii, which means there are more flowers. From a horticultural (not botanical) perspective, I find the plants at the Arnold Arboretum to be indistinguishable from L. fragrantissima.
