It increases moderately well, but not as quickly as some of the other species and varieties. Grow in ordinary good garden soil. Large leaves in spring to early summer.
I often grow a few spare corms in large pots for the patio and plunge the pots for the winter after they have flowered. (These are easier to photograph!)
