It gets watered by our lawn sprinkler 3 times a week during the summer. I don't do much more other than have our gardener cut it back every spring (it grows fast here in Southern California). At one point it climbed over our roof but now we keep it a bit shorter. It is very resilient and blooms repeatedly from early spring to autumn! I love this rose!

Bought & planted 6 years ago on trellis against garden shed. It gets full sun for about 5 hours, first 4yrs got more like 6 1/2 hrs (neighbors' trees shorter then), did great then too.
Currently has 35 full open flowers, with 12 buds still yet to bloom. It is a happy repeat bloomer about every 3-4 weeks here (in Pacific NW) thru Sept. Each flower is unique, becomes slightly open faced, very sweet looking.
Much more disease resistant than our other roses, nice clean green leaves and stems. We have a Don Juan right next to it which is less attractive, more disease-prone.
Another Berries n Cream plus: all new growth have NO thorns. It's such a pleasure to tie up and prune.
Amazed more people don't have this rose.Guests at our garden parties are always impressed and ask about it.
