Scented Pussytoes

Blooms first appear in early spring and continue into late spring. Flowers of this species are fragrant. The small tubular flowers are in flower heads that are in tight clusters which resemble cat's paws, thus the name. The leaves of this species are smaller than others in the genus.

Pussytoes is a very common plant of open and wooded terrain. It makes a great rock garden plant, too.
