Two plants can occupy 200 square feet all by themselves. This cultivar readily puts down roots at the axils. The seed packet specifies fruit in 70 days. But, though my plants were sown more than 75 days ago and have an abundance of male blossoms, no female blossoms have yet developed. If this type of squash is desired, I advise going with one of the Kabochas.
