This is a newer species of weed in my yard but its narrow growth habit means it peacefully co-exists with many ornamentals (does not crow...Read Mored them).
Not only that but it is a host plant for the Longtailed skipper butterfly (Urbanus proteus), my population is at least 3x higher than last year because of it.
Another potential use is that even though mine grow in a shaded area with few flowers, their leaves got the attention of Leafcutter bees. I'm thinking this means they really prefer them (and every cut they make to these is one less cut to your roses and redbuds).
This plant spreads via seeds that attach to clothing/fur like velcro and by rhizomes but not as aggressively as that sounds. They seem to prefer partial sun - dappled shade.
I would like to know if lightyellow could send me some seeds from this plant i will pay for the seeds and the shipping thanks in advance
