The Olympic bellflower has a native range limited to a small area within the upper elevations of the Olympic Mountains. Naturally this bellflower is exclusively found growing in rock cracks or loose rocks on high alpine slopes. Frequently these flowers are located near the edge of glaciers where they can benefit from the moisture provided by summer glacial melt.
