Plants form dense creeping mounds of dark olive-bronze foliage generally not more than 4" tall. Trailing stems root at the nodes.

Prefers cool-summer climates and moist, well-drained soils with neutral to alkaline pH.

This is a spontaneous hybrid between G. endressii and the tender sub-tropical G. papuanum, found at Crug Farm Plants on the coast of North Wales and named after the owners' late, lamented terrier.

Some British sources recommend winter protection /H6. I suspect that the Z5 hardiness may be wishful thinking, and Z7 may be more realistic.
