Here in Atlanta it goes dormant much later than Bermuda, is quite shade tolerant, it grows very low, and greens up early in the spring. I have found it spreads quickly from these plugs and my back lawn is well on its way to filling in even though I've used far less in the way of plugs as recommended. I really like this stuff.
Purchased 3 flats of this from Lowe's this year and have had excellent experience. Had a few plugs that didn't make it, but the ones tha...Read Moret did have really taken off. It's considered "dwarf" grass, thus is supposed to have a very low profile and need less mowing -- we'll see, but after 2 months, this is very true. Even relatively new plugs seem resistant to weed killers (many don't do well until established for some time). Supposed to be very drought tolerant -- haven't tested this, but the width of the blades makes me believe it ; spreads prolifically with moisture. Deep green color and wide blades. Roots deeply and quickly. Feels great on bare feet (isn't that the mark of truly good grass?)
