Most important, although suitable for greenhouse cultivation, it is in fact a “greenhouse” type Cucumber that you can actually grow outdoors (provided the position is not too exposed). Then, it’s an all-female, parthenocarpic (practise that one – it means it sets fruit without pollination), heavy yielding plant producing glossy dark green, slightly ribbed, neck-less, bitter-free fruits each 8 or 9 ins. long. Finally, it is resistant to that unsightly and damaging Cucumber curse, Powdery Mildew, and to Scab. It is also highly tolerant to Downy Mildew and Cucumber Mosaic Virus. One last thing – it tastes good too! All it asks to start with is a minimum germination temperature of 68?F and preferably one of 80F.
