I just clip them and throw those away. I also use organic rose food and a neem mixture every now and then to prevent any mildew/mold issues. I love the deep red color of his blooms and the scent is very nice, not too intense though. I also have all of my roses in large self-watering containers and perform a root drench of MycoGrow (endo & ecto mycelium inoculate). This has seemed to help tremendously with my roses in the high heat and humidity that comes with coastal 9b growing zone.

The flowers hold a tight shape well.

Since I have been doing regular treatments, everything has been GREAT!
The Christian Dior doesn't really smell a whole bunch but it certainly makes up for it! It is a consistent bloomer and creates HUGE blooms; WAY bigger than any of the other hybrid teas I have. Also the color is stunning! The only way I can describe it is a red with a tinge of pink to it... very "in your face". It reminds me of very rich, red lipstick.
