The leaves are also EXTREMELY glossy, round and thick and have a beautiful pattern on them. They explode with beautiful white blossoms in early/ mid summer that look kind of similar to orange blossoms. I’ve seen these get to over 10-13 feet tall in the milder parts of Utah and are one of my absolute favorite native broad leaf evergreens. Also a weird thing, if you lick the leaves or your fingers after touching the leaves you will get a burning sensation very similar to nicotine/vape juice.... I think that’s why they call it the ‘Tobacco Bush’. Very beautiful plant!
