I have successfully grown this campanula since 1987 in zone 3a. It makes a very low rosette in the first year, then sends up one (usually...Read More) spike in early summer the 2nd year. It is a good reseeder, since it is biennial I let it go to seed, however the flower stalk gets downright ugly as it matures and dries to brown. Despite this, I look forward to the flowers each year which are not really yellow, but a greenish-yellow cream. I keep plants spaced at least one foot apart to get bigger flower spikes.
