This is the first time this has happened in recent memory. All 40 plants are dead or dying. I was quite surprised this Florida native did so poorly with lower rainfall.
Mine does very well in southern Florida. It is planted in really poor soil & gets very little water. I cut it back all the way 3 times a year.
