I was weeding the garden today (early June) and glanced up to noticed my BlueGem covered in ripe blue berries - larger than what I was expecting. I harvested them and they are very delicious. The bush is an easy to grow, low maintenance plant. Placed in the right location and it will perform well with minimal care. Great for the home gardener. I also have the Climax, Pink Lemonade, & Woodard Rabbiteye varieties, as well as native/wild Sparkleberries in the yard.
