It has small white feathery-appearing flowers that may attract insects. This tree provudes valuable shelter for wildlife, such as birds, squirrels, and other animals. This tree, due to habitat destruction primarily, is listed as endangered by the state of Florida. It is an excellent native plant for zones 10a, 10b and below through zone 11!
