Smallest of the Metroxylons, only getting up to 25' tall, and 10 leaves. From the Solomon and Vanuatu Islands. I grew this plant in my greenhouse for 4 years and it was a beautiful potted palm... eventually got a bit cold for it in there, though, and died. But I imagine it would make a great potted palm for a while in the tropics. Has some spines, though, along the leaf bases.
