This is a very distinctive species that is pretty easy to tell apart from most other Dypsis... it is a medium sized palm with uniquely wi...Read Morede, leathery, gray-green leaflets, with the first few near the petiole being extra large and droop laxly right at their base near the rachis. Leaves are 'neatly' plumose in a most orderly fashion (you don't get that 'crazy' plumose mess often seen in plumose-leaved palms). Crownshaft is an ornamental white (though not a terribly unique characteristic). Very nice plant for smaller areas of a warm, humid subtropical to tropical garden. Not sure how it performs as an indoor plant, but suspect it would be a bit too needy of bright light and humidity.
