Green 2" sweet fruits are ripe when the fruits burst through husk.
Blend with hot peppers to make Mexican green sauce. Fruits have best flavor when washed with mild soap and then rinsed off thoroughly, which removes the naturally sticky coating on the outside of the fruit.
A medium tall plant that yielded almost 19 tons per acre in Indianna field trials. Large fruits averaging 0.9 ounces.
