I was searching for it on the web and that is how I discovered this site : )) !
Helmut Schmidt had a wonderful form and was very easy to prune and to keep in a beautiful open shape. It flowered throughout the summer and was never bothered with any diseases for over 10 years that I had it. Flowers were HUGE and the most beautiful yellow - not too bright, nor too pale , and were amazingly long lasting even during hottest days. Photos I found on the web do not do it a justice !
The only thing it lacked was a fragrance , but in all other aspects it was a "perfect rose" , at least for me : )))
