It is lime green in winter with the outer leaves turning rusty red in summer or stress. Most of my plants are in the ground and have varying conditions ranging from dense to light shade. Their watering ranges from every three days to every couple months and individuals seem to tolerate that equally, although the more watered plants spread faster. Most of these receive no winter protection and have tolerated freeze down to the low 20s F with no sign of stress.
