Has orange flowers with one-two branches. Flower racemes tall and conical with flowers themselves laid down flat against stem. Flowers (entire racemes) always start out fairly dead looking, just showing droopy brown bracts making me always think the flower failed or got fried in the heat... but it's always the same so that is normal. Eventually, as inflorescence matures, green flower tips start to poke through the dead-looking bracts and finally the flower looks healthy and colorful and fairly typical for any aloe. As far as I know, this is the only aloe species that does this.
Fairly fast growing Aloe flowering in 4 years after germination and obtaining adult shape and form in just over 3 years.
