It flowers every year and if the winter is cooler or wet, the bloom period will go for a good month or two, whereas Aloe ferox tends to be over in a quick 2 weeks or less. Aloe ferox also seems to suffer "heat rot" more easily than Aloe littoralis. This is an Aloe that absolutely deserves to be used more in the Phoenix area!
