I live in Matamoras, PA (about a 1/2 hour from Warwick) and I planted this in my butterfly/hummingbird garden. The garden is against the back stone wall of my house and faces southeast. The area is well protected from winter winds - I have some canna and lupines that surprised me when they came back this year! It receives sun all morning, almost up to 1:00pm or so. With all the rain and humidity we've been having recently it is doing very well. I have it planted with red bee balm monarda, pink and white cleome, cocosmia montbretia "Lucifer", blue balloon flower, and an Echinacea "Sombrero Coral Hot" coneflower" . As you can see I love color! This delphinium seems very happy and is doing very well!

I'm very happy that it's a perennial! I didn't know there were other types of Delphiniums besides the tall spiked ones. I planted a yellow snapdragon beside it so they can compliment each other. I will post a pic after it gets a little taller.
