It is known for it's extremely glossy, large, leathery (almo...Read Morest plastic-like) leaves and attractive red-brown color of the new leaves. I have this plant outdoors and it really isn't supposed to be able to survive this climate (so I have it in a pot) but so far, no problems. It can't really tolerate much of any sun here in So Cal... maybe in Hawaii it could.
