As it tolerated down to 17 degrees F (-9 C) at one point for me, I would recommend this species for zone 8b and above xeric gardens.
It is a small plant looks best when it grows into a small, multi-headed bush, and pairs well with small Agaves, sedums and sempervivums. It is very easy to propagate from cuttings.
