Our little guy (planted a year ago) has thrived in temps ranging from 14 degrees to 112. Gave it a little mulch skirt to keep its feet cool, watered once a week, and it's already rewarded us with several new branches. I expect it'll really start taking off in another year or two.
Remarkably adaptable, nonfussy, and attractive in an unassuming, low-key way, it's been a pleasant surprise in our harsh climate.
